We are packing up...

It is hot. Really,really hot. This is the day we planned to organize the camper. You can't run the a/c in there without 50amp service and it felt like an oven in there! Here are pictures of Mark, being the happy camper that he is, working away like it's a cool, balmy day! The only one not excited about this trip is Buffy, our cat. She does not go on camping trips and will be staying home with a pet sitter. She doesn't like when we start packing, in fact, she gets down right mean. Here is a picture of her blocking my way at the top of the stairs and giving me her best "I'll get you when you get up in the middle of the night" look.

One Week to Go!

We will be leaving in exactly one week, and everyone is excited! Carli has a new fishing pole and Shrek tackle box that she is itchin' to use. We did some trip-shopping today, making sure we had everything we need-coffee filters, socks for the kids (I always forget Carli's underwear),and of course we had to hit the wine store! Courtney is excited too, but she pretends she is too cool for us. I don't know how she will manage without constant communication with her friends, and of course her boyfriend. Tonight we are going to relax and have our friends Dan and Carol over to sit out in the gazebo and have a drink and some appetizers. Our back yard is my favorite place to be in the summertime!

Here are some pictures from our Memorial Day pool party. We were all there, my sister Kerry and my niece, Kenzie, Kerry's grandaughter Anna,Casey and her boyfriend Travis, and our cousin Brandi. And there is mom, sweatin' it out on the pool deck. She won't wear shorts, just stays in the shade, ready to panic if anyone stays under the water for too long.
